Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare
The
project consists of a multi-phased expansion on two adjacent blocks
divided by Chicago Avenue and bounded by Columbus Avenue, 25th Street,
10th Avenue, and 26th Street in the City of Minneapolis. On the eastern
block an eight-story hospital addition occupies vacated Elliot Avenue
connecting the existing hospital the existing parking ramp. Loucks
re-routed sanitary sewer and watermain within vacated Elliot Avenue and
connected them to mains on the adjacent blocks. The utility relocation
involved reconstruction of 25th Street between Chicago and 10th
Avenues. The six-story reconstructed hospital lobby exits to a new
plaza drop-off area.
The Gillette Children’s Addition project had limited space - 1650 sq. ft. - and a requirement for 5,200 cu. ft. of storage. The high-volume StormTech MC-3500 chambers had just entered the market and provided the perfect solution for this
project. The system went in at a minimum burial depth and was install under a reinforced concrete parking slab.
The design included the patented Isolator Row system which provides excellent TSS removal (over 95%) with a very long maintenance interval.
All StormTech chambers meet the AASHTO LRFD Section 12.12 and ASTM F2418-05 Industry Standards.
StormTech provides complete storm water quality and quantity management systems.
