Globe Building Materials Site Remediation

This brownfield remediation of the Globe Building Materials site consisted of demolishing and removing an asphalt shingles production plant. Work involved the removal of all asbestos-containing material and all other materials above and below ground. During demolition, a buried streetcar barn was unearthed beneath the building. Upon completion of the demolition and remediation, the site was graded to create a future development site. Innovative storm water management facilities were designed to re-use the storm water for irrigation and infi ltration to reduce the amount of storm water runoff. downloadable PDF
