Multimodal Facility Planning

Loucks Associates was retained by the Carver County Community Development Agency and the Twin Cities and Western Railroad Company (TC&W) in planning for a multimodal terminal facility.

The planning included identifying potential sites for a facility, analyzing characteristics of each site and preparing concept plans for the more desirable sites. Considerations in the site identification and  analysis process include: expansion plan of cities along the line; land constrained for development because of shorelands, wetlands, mucky soils, steep slopes and other factors; and access to roads, highways and the rail line for transportation. downloadable PDF
